AUVSI New England will host the Robotica STEM Workforce Development Summit at WPI Seaport in Boston to learn about current and future challenges and explore possible solutions to questions of STEM pipeline development, finding talent, and employee engagement for new and established technology firms.
Based on a recent survey, 60% of respondents struggle to find the talent they need and 52% think the robotics industry needs better-trained talent. Nearly 50% of respondents think K-12 STEM initiatives are the most important aspect of workforce development. And, many struggle to fill positions such as Project Engineering, Experienced Service Technician, and Entry-Level Engineers and Technicians.
